Demolition works were completed on site in early summer 2018 and McAleer Rushe are now on site as the main contractor carrying out the construction works. The development is expected to be completed in 2020.
McAleer & Rushe are making good progress with the initial construction and piling works. The first tower crane is now on site and works are progressing towards erection of the concrete frame.
Taylor Wimpey Central London and our contractors are committed to working with the local community throughout the construction works. Noise, dust and vibration monitoring will take place regularly to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum.
• High pressure water cannons will be used to damp down the site and prevent the spread of dust.
• All delivery vehicles have been fitted with white noise alarms to reduce noise disturbance.
• Traffic marshalls will be in place during working hours to manage deliveries and ensure pedestrian safety.
Dust, noise and vibration monitoring will take place regularly to ensure that disruption is reduced as much as possible for our neighbours. Throughout demolition the site will be regularly damped down, using a high pressure water bowser, to prevent the spread of dust.
Munching will be used to demolish the building and hydraulic breaking will be avoided wherever possible to reduce disruption for our neighbours.
The consented working hours for the site will be:
Monday to Friday:
Sundays and Public Holidays:
Contractors may be on site outside of these hours but no works will be taking place. Any changes to the above working hours will be agreed with City of London planning officers and local residents will be notified in advance.
